Goalkeepers
There are obvious picks in our ucl fantasy scout squad goal. There is really high probability of clean sheet for Juventus against Lyon, so Szczesny is our number 1 goalkeeper. His backup – Gulacsi – has already managed to keep one clean sheet in the tough away game against Tottenham and another clean sheet in the home game would not be a surprise.
Defenders
Balls recovered. That is something that Hummels, Virgil van Dijk and Klosterman have in common. If there is no clean sheet for them, you may expect at least 2-3 points from balls recovered, so even without clean sheet you are very likely going to get at least 4-5 points from them. And if some of them adds a clean sheet to that, that would be pretty nice amount of points.
Kimmich and Gosens made it into our ucl squad mainly because of their advanced positions and great goalscoring capabilities.
Midfielders
With the absence of Lewandowski, Gnabry with his outstanding form could be main threat for Chelsea defense.
Salah is Liverpool main goal scorer and despite tough game against Atletico we expect him to do well in this match. Key man for Man City Kevin de Bruyne is unstoppable this season. He showed his great form in the first match against Real Madrid and he is set to repeat his performance.
Ilicic led the Atalanta attack in an astonishing way in the last couple of months. So if you are interested in low-owned cheap midfielder, you definitely should consider him. Balls recovered earned 48 percent of Alcantara points. He has such a stable output that he does not need an attacking return to get you 5-6 points.
Forwards
Timo Werner, the talisman of Leipzig, is set to exploit weaknesses in Tottenham defense. Haaland represents such a great value per million that we would not dare to left him out of our ucl fantasy scout picks despite tougher fixture.
And Mbappe with his great form is not just one to consider to pick into your team but also a captain contender in the upcoming matchday.
Captain strategy
Our sequence of captain (unless some of them score more or equal to 8 points) is the following – Werner – Mbappe – De Bruyne – Gnabry.
