We expect the Netherlands to win Group A at World Cup 2022. They showed their quality in the qualifiers, where they lost only one match (+ two draws) and scored 33 goals (only England and Germany scored more goals in the qualifiers). Memphis Depay faces the race to be fit for the opening matches of the Group stage, however, his lack of match fitness could be an issue for Oranjes.
Apart from Depay – Steven Bergwjin. Van Dijk and Frenkie de Jong are going to be their key players. The Netherlands has a balanced squad and usually plays in a 3-4-1-2 formation. Because of this formation, wingback D. Blind and D. Dumfries could be great sources of fantasy points.
Ecuador and Senegal will fight for the second spot in Group A, and currently, we favor the latter. The AFCON winner is in good form, they beat Egypt in two very important matches – the first time in the AFCON final, and the second time in the final match of the World Cup qualification. Mané, Mendy, Koulibaley, and Sarr, the biggest stars of the team, should lead Sengalesse to the R16 and perhaps even further.
Qatar is at such a big event for the first time and we won’t be surprised if they lose all three matches. But the home advantage is here and maybe they will show great resilience and big spirit as Russia did at their home World Cup.
