We are in very hectic period of Fantasy Premier League season where every mistake, every early transfer can be very costly.
There is a lot of injuries form international break and Champions League games in midweek.
That shows how important is to be extra careful with our transfers and to manage risk of our FPL teams wisely.
Let’s quickly look at FPL Tips for GW10.
Tips for FPL GW10
GW10 Best Captain
We are starting with captaincy.
3. Kevin De Bruyne (BUR (H))
We planned to heavily back Man City players for the captaincy in the few upcoming gameweeks. But after their performance against Spurs, we are less sure about them.
Fixtures are still there at their side. But can they score 3-4 goals against easy opponents as we were used to previous seasons?
If you think they can, Sterling and De Bruyne could be armband contenders for you in GW10. In home games we favor Belgian.
After the disappointed performances from City, their FPL assets are very low owned. For example, De Bruyne is currently sitting in only 17 % of squads.
So, he could be amazing differential captain in next three gameweeks and provide you with massive rank boost IF he does well (or at least better than other popular captaincy picks).
Our captaincy decisions are based mainly on the fixture as we explained in previous article, but other factors must align with our fixture decision, too.
It did not happen this time and we think that there are better (more secure with lower risk) captain options for GW10 than Man City assets.
2. Sadio Mané (BHA (A))
Liverpool showed very solid attacking performance even without Mo Salah against Leicester in previous gameweek.
Sadio Mané blanked in that game, but he backed his performance with solid stats: 6 shots and 1 key passes.
Liverpool face Brighton early on Saturday. We like the fixture.
Only Chelsea have scored more goals than Liverpool this season (22 vs 21) and no team have better xG (21.22) than former champions.
So, probably the best attack so far will face opponent with defensive stats of bottom-half team.
With or without Salah we expect Liverpool to do well and to Sadio Mané to compensate his owners after the blank against Foxes.
1. Jamie Vardy (FUL (H))
There is one fixture that we could not overlook when we were picking the best captain for GW10. Liecester vs. Fulham.
With 8 goals, Jamie Vardy is currently third in the golden boot race.
And penalties in his locker (and Leicester is getting lots of them this season) are boosting his appeal as a captaincy pick.
Fulham is defensively struggling – no team have conceded more goals than them.
There is not really need for further explanation. This is the case when all aspects (that we consider when we are picking the captain) aligned.
Differential for upcoming set of fixtures
Michail Antonio could be back in GW10. But pay attention to press conferences before making a decision about him.
We are picking Antonio as a long-term differential so even if he does not feature in GW10 you should not overlook him in following gameweeks.
West Ham have great run of fixtures until gameweek 24.
And if Hammers can continue with the performance they have shown so far, their players will score nice amount of FPL points in that run.
In his 6 appearances, Antonio has 3 goals backed by solid attacking stats (0.54 xG per 90 and 3.31 shots per 90 minutes). Great numbers for 6.2 million forward.
So, pay attention to the West Ham press conference. If it looks that Antonio is fine and that he is going to play against Aston Villa, it is probably time to bring him in.
GW10 Scout picks
Let’s finish our GW10 FPL Tips with our scout selection.
Again, we opted for four at the back as we prefer playing on four defenders due to value distribution.
This time, we picked all three captain options into our scout selection and it is Jamie Vardy who gets the armband.
