Forgotten players: 5 hot FPL picks that return from injury

A deadline for Gameweek 30+ of Fantasy Premier League is slowly approaching. We had long break and many players that were injured are now back. We never considered these players in last gameweeks before covid-19 enforced break but things have changed and these long-forgotten men can play significant role in the upcoming matches. So let’s refresh our memories and bring back some great fpl picks into considerations for your fantasy team.

5. John McGinn

Scottish international had an amazing intro into the season when he scored 3 times and add 1 assist in the first 7 gameweeks. Since then his form went down a bit, however he was still very important part of Aston Villa attack. After missing 10 gameweeks due to injury, he is back and ready to help his team in the relegation battle.

Aston Villa face Sheffield United and Chelsea (both home) in the Double Gameweek 30+ and John McGinn could nice differential pick for your team. However after the DGV 30+, Aston Villa have really tough fixtures until the end of the season, so we consider John McGinn just as a one-week punt.

4. Paul Pogba

In 2019/20 Premier League season we have not seen much of Paul Pogba due to long term injury. He managed to play only 5 full matches in which he registered 2 assists. Now when he is fully fit, he could add much needed creativity to Manchester United midfield.

His return boosts not just his appeal as a fantasy asset, but also an appeal of his teammates Marcus Rashford, Antony Martial or Bruno Fernandes. And with favorable fixtures on the horizon, we could see a lot of goals from Manchester United.

3. Harry Kane

Tottenham Hotspurs is another team that has really favorable run of fixtures until the end of the season. It has not been spectacular season for Harry Kane so far but he still was able to score 11 times and registered 2 assists.

If you are looking for differential fpl pick for the rest of the season, Harry Kane with 8,7% ownership could be one of your targets. But there might be one even better option among Spurs players…

2. Son Heung-Min

After his brace against Aston Villa in GW26, Son was supposed to be out for the rest of the season. Now he is back and with Harry Kane by his side, he could  significantly improve Spurs goalscoring potential. He was in a hot form whenever he played this season (except the game against Chelsea).

Despite playing only 21 games, he is 6th top scoring midfielder in the game, and he is definitely a player you should not overlook when picking your Fantasy Premier League squad.

1. Marcus Rashford

Rashford managed to score 134 points in 22 matches (6,09 points per match) and that is really outstanding number for 8.8 million striker. Manchester United have an amazing run of fixture and with the support of Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford could really shine in last 9 gameweeks of this season.
